The course is dedicated to CF&A Master students of CUE or students from Erasmus mobility and exchange programs, or from other universities or colleges who possess at least basic knowledge in international economics, corporate finance, financial mathematics, and how to use Excel to do some calculations.

The course - after some revision of basic material necessary to understand at least cases - focuses on micro level and at case studies analysis. Cases are chosen from business practice of lecturer and are not available in any source known at least to lecturer.

The final mark for lectures is calculated as follows:

1. 50% for case studies analysis (at least three cases must be done and submitted for evaluation and for active participation in lectures
2. 50% for the mark for examination single choice test (to pass the test at least 50% of available points for the test must be obtained).

If a student does not participate actively in lectures the final mark for lectures is calculated as follows:

1. 50% for case studies analysis
2. 50% for the mark for examination multiple choice test.

Final mark for the course is calculated as follows:

1. 50% for the final mark for exercises
2. 50% for the final mark for lectures.

Important note: the test is written at the last examination stage. It means you must obtain final mark for exercises and final mark for case studies before you sit the test. To be evaluated for the case studies you must submit solution of at least three of four case studies.
